Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter (born May 11, 1999) is an American singer and actress. She rose to prominence while starring in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World (2014–2017), and began her music career under Hollywood Records. She saw moderate success as a teen pop artist, with the singles “Thumbs”, “Why” and “Sue Me” receiving RIAA certifications.
Carpenter later signed with Island Records and released her fifth studio album Emails I Can’t Send (2022). The single “Nonsense” became a viral hit, and its follow-up “Feather” charted as her first top-forty entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Carpenter saw breakthrough success with her sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet (2024), as its singles “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” both topped the Billboard Global 200.
Carpenter has starred in the comedy film Adventures in Babysitting (2016), the drama films The Hate U Give (2018), The Short History of the Long Road (2019) and Clouds (2020), and the thriller film Emergency (2022). She also starred in the Netflix productions Tall Girl (2019), Tall Girl 2 (2022), and Work It (2020), the last of which she executive-produced. On stage, she has starred in the Broadway musical Mean Girls (2020).
